Advanced driving courses develop driving skills that can be applied on the road and/or on tracks.

Skills covered can include - Advanced Braking (Trail braking / Left Foot Braking), Heel and Toe techniques, Steering and skid control, Advanced vision skills and racing lines.

Often drivers confuse Advanced Driving with Defensive Driving. 

Although there are some similarities in the practical components, Defensive Driving Courses are based on developing road safety skills and we recommend that all drivers cpmplete a Defensive Driving Course before attending an advanced course.

Please note that most advanced driving courses will be only run for group bookings.

** ADVANCED DRIVING SESSION - September 5, 2010 - Calder Raceway VIC - Invitation Only!

7 times WRC driver Mark Butcher and the team at Driver Skills Australia invite you to an Advanced Driving coaching session. This will take place on the morning of September 5, 2010 at Calder Raceway, Victoria.

This session will involve some 1:1 coaching with either Mark and/or one of his experienced trainers in advanced car control. The driving will be done in your vehicle. Commencing at 8.30am will be a safety brief and basic performance driving presentation - and then its onto the track.

This program will challenge you and your vehicle and push the limits so that you can become confident in controlling your car at speed.

The program is limited to 10 drivers at $500 per driver. The course will conclude at lunch time - but you will be spending the majority of the time on the track - so there will be little waiting around - just enough to let your brakes cool and your heart rate to return to normal!

The course is by invitation only as we need to be confident that the vehicles attending are performane orientated and that the drivers are experienced in basic car control skills.
